April 2009 Daytrading Results
+210 pips (Majors), -60 pips (Crosses). Combined monthly return: +150 pips
I started quite well with the two systems but ended giving back most gains in late April. A "mini blow-up" when trading the yen-crosses had cost me a whopping -435 pips in one week. It was a record nonetheless - the largest losses the system had taken in a single week since the record began.

Tallying Up the 100-pip System Winners
Scout-Forex Day Trading Service runs two separate systems.
The first system is the End-of-Session System which produces clear cut trade entry and exit. The system is fully 'automated' and it exploits the forex trends during the most active trading hours.
The second system is the new 100-pip System which is aimed a maximising the profits by sharpening up the trade entry and exit. It utilises an improved method for entering into the markets and at the same time lowering the trading risk with dynamic stops.
I publish my day trading report for the End-of-Session system every month. I also review my trades everyday on my Day Trading Blog. Right now, I am setting up a trading results page for my 100-pip signals. The results page will be updated here every week. All signals are issued live to my Service Subscriber and their performance are tracked in real time on the member site.
All I need to do now is just tallying up the total number of trades and their potential winning pips for each week. The following table will weight up the final results for the 100-pip exit strategy as well as at different lower mid-point exits.
| Jun 08 | No. Trades | TP=40 | TP=60 | TP=80 | TP=100 | 100-pip Hits |
| 06/02 - 06/06 | 10 | +228 | +268 | +388 | +508 | 6 |
| 06/09 - 06/13 | 5 | +200 | +120 | +160 | +100 | 1 |
| 06/16 - 06/20 | 12 | +68 | +28 | -52 | -12 | 2 |
| 06/23 - 06/30 | 8 | +29 | +129 | +149 | +229 | 4 |
| Total | 35 | +525 | +545 | +645 | +825 | 13 |
* TP = take profit level

Day Trading Service: Trading Report May' 08 (+75 pips)
Fact 1: A Sideways Month for the Majors
May was a month where the US Dollar actually went nowhere against other major currencies. Simply check out their quotes below:
May 1 open/ May 31 close/monthly change in term of pips:
GBP/USD (1.9876/ 1.9822/ -54) ;
EUR/USD (1.5620/ 1.5554/-66) ;
USD/CHF (1.0350/ 1.0420/+70);
USD/CAD (1.0065/ 0.9933/+132);
USD/JPY (103.93/ 105.50/-157)
Fact 2: Up Four Consecutive Months Since Inception
Despite trading only 12 out of the possible 22 days and the sideways price action, May was still a profitable month which pulled in another +75 pips. It was interesting to note that we made most of our profits from USD/CAD (+140 pips) and USD/JPY (+35 pips) since they were the significant movers than the rest.
Fact 3: Individual Performance Overview
A brief recap of their individual performance so far:
EUR/USD +365 pips
USD/CAD+245 pips
GBP/USD +160 pips
USD/CHF +115 pips
USD/JPY +90 pips
AUD/USD -35 pips
EUR/USD was the biggest gainer of all since the start, while the AUD/USD was the only one with negative pips.
In summary, May could be a sideways month paving for an expected up (or even down) month for the US dollar in June (i.e. the start of Summer trading). I believe our day trading strategy is well-tuned to capitalise on any significant market movements ahead of us.

Day Trading Service: Trading Report Apr' 08 (+45 pips)
Fact 1: Up +45 pips with the major pairs
There were 22 trading days in April, with 6 up days, 7 down days, 2 no-action days and 7 non-tradable days. The biggest winning days were on 3, 28 April (+160 pips, +95 pips) and the biggest negative days were on 11, 14 and 23 April (-70 pips).
Fact 2: A rough month with out-of-sync market movements
In my book, there was little correlation between the majors pairs in this month. Euro made new highs while Sterling weakened. Loonie went nowhere while Yen was choppy. We have avoided trading on the neutral days with split market sentiment values, i.e. 48-52% (see figure above, date with grey box) and also decided not to use trade setups with 44-56 and 56-44 (date with yellow box) . Hence, our first system optimisation. .
Fact 3: Up three consecutive months since inception
The day trading strategy allows us tackle the forex market in a systematic way day in day out. So far, we are able to gain a winning edge using this strategy in every month. The average monthly gain based on the three month results is 288 pips. We were already up +175 pips on the first trading day of May. We shall see whether we could improve on this number in the coming months.
Very recently, there was another new and exciting development with the introduction of 100-pip dynamic stops system. I will find a new way to quantify its performance.

Day Trading Service @ ScoutForex dot Com: 8-Week Performance Review
(Originally posted on my daytrading blog)
A brief recap: Here are the live day trading results since the launch back in February. So far, I have great feeling and confidence about this day trading approach with the forex killer software.
Week 1: +105 pips
Week 2: +25 pips
Week 3: +235 pips
Week 4: +210 pips
Week 5: +225 pips
Week 6: -10 pips
Week 7: -60 pips
Week 8: +220 pips
The system only endured its first losses in week 6 and 7. During that period, the forex market was greatly affected by the collapse of Bearn Stearns and massive carry-trade liquidation in mid March. We easily steered clear of further price volatility traps.
Week 4 and week 8 are non-farm payrolls (NFP) week. During these weeks, the system performed particularly well (i.e. in exploiting the trends) by giving us good trading opportunities with gains over 200+ pips.
During these eight weeks, we scored a total of +950 pips from all live trade setups on member site. I appreciate your kind and positive comments which help to keep me motivated all this long.

Day Trading Service: Trading Report Mar' 08 (+455 pips)
Fact 1: Up +455 pips trading the major pairs
There were 21 trading days in March, with 9 up days, 7 non-tradable/rest (i.e. Easter) days and 5 down days. The biggest winning session was on 3 March (+130 pips) and the biggest losing session was on 19 March (-100 pips). Check out here on how we could still make profits in such a losing session.
Fact 2: 65% winning percentage
There were 22 winners out of 34. USD/JPY has a 100% win record (only 1 trade opened), followed by EUR/USD 80% (8 winners out of 10) and GBP/USD 67% (4 winners out of 6).
Fact 3: only AUD/USD yielded negative pips
March was an extremely choppy and volatile month for forex due to the collapse of Bear Stearns and the liquidation of carry trades. AUD/USD - a high-yielding currency pair - was obviously affected by the carry-trade situations in mid March.

New Day Trading Member Testimonial: From Zeljko
(Originally posted in my day trading blog)
Hi Lloyd,
Well, I dont know what to say, but thank you. Last night, (00:00 London time) I made calculation following your FK day trading advice, got the tradable signal, fall asleep, and this morning, I had 70 pips more on my acc.
This morning, I didnt want to risk too much, and made modest 30 pips:) and all this by just following your advices, and in less than one day period.
So, thanx again, and if I may say so, keep up the great work.
P.S. you may freely use this mail for your blog. I think this is the one of the few rare blogs about FK and forex trading which can really be useful for all forex traders, and especially for us beginners.

Day Trading Service: Trading Hours Extended
Thursday: No Trade
Today was the first time where there was not one 'tradable' signal from the 10 currency pairs being watched. We were right in the money with our market sentiment indicators, but the signal software simply couldn't deliver the right signal entry in our favour. We had a challenging market condition where we experienced extreme price extension from yesterday's market. I believed many could be caught off guard by the magnitude of today's USD-bear rally.
Notice:
We normally trade and monitor only London and New York pre-opening hours which happen to be the most active trading hours for the forex market. Yesterday, I decided to add one extra trading session in active New York hours to focus on the yen-crosses trades (see our new trading hours here). I hope we can make further good use of our Day Trading Approach which so far works well on the major pairs.

Day Trading Service: Trading Report Feb' 08
Fact 1: Up 365 pips in February on USD-base currency pairs
The results by the major currency pairs have so far outperformed the yen-crosses pairs. This is simply because my day trading strategy was originally devised/optimised to exploit the use of USD market sentiment indicator to trade the USD related currencies, and not the use of Yen sentiment indicator to trade the Yen-crosses pairs. Hence, trading the major currency pairs will always be the main focus/strength of this day trading service.
Fact 2: Up three consecutive weeks since inception
This day trading approach allows us tackle the forex market in a systematic manner day in day out. So far, we are able to gain a winning edge using this strategy on every week. Based on the daily results as given in the above statistics: we might lose about 20-25 pips in a bad day, but we are able to gain 90-110 pips on a good day. The reward-to-risk ratio seems very appealing at this stage.
Notice: We again started strongly in this brand new month - i.e. already up 235 pips in just 3 days of this month ! Make sure you check out my day trading strategy and consider joining me this month to enjoy the current monthly rate while last. Please be informed that the subscription fee is scheduled for a hike from 1st April.

Maximum potential: +40 pips
Own P/L: +11 pips
In general, we usually aim to to score 40-70 pips in a few hours time. This long EUR/USD signal has yielded an acceptable minimum target of 40-pip right at the end of my European price monitoring session. Due to an earlier exit, I only managed to grab a piece of the action with a small 11 pips for myself. Still, a profit is a profit. Hope you follow well.
