My friend Sarah’s little girl has some severe allergies, and takes prescription medication every day. Sarah says that one of her prescriptions must be prepared by a compounding pharmacy. That’s because this medicine normally contains some kind of preservative or dye that gives her problems. The compounding pharmacy prepares it for her without the harmful ingredient. Sarah says she doesn’t know what they would do if we didn’t have a good compounding pharmacy in our town. My son has also been helped with a medication prepared by a compounding pharmacy.
